Finding Life in Hawaii, J.G.

I was 23 years old with no religious background. Often I would think of the meaning of life, death, culture, the universe, and God. The thoughts became so overwhelming that I would just give up. I had no answers and it was easier for me to move on and forget about it. Like a lot of people, I had been pursuing a life without a purpose yet constantly searching for fulfillment and satisfaction. I made a move to Hawaii and soon after I met some friends who met with the local church. That was when the Lord first touched me. When I read the Bible the words gave me a feeling I had never experienced. This book was so real; each story and verse led my heart to contentment. It became so clear to me that all the steps in my life were a path being paved by the Lord for me to receive Him.

Now, ten months later, I am attending the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. I thank the Lord every day for finding me, and our relationship just gets better and better. Through simple faith, I have received a never-ending supply of satisfaction, which is what I had always been searching for.
